The Evolution of Global Change
By Stephanie Flood

New Media for Global Change Inc. (NMGC) is a developing organization trying to raise funds for sustainable organizations and humanities that will aid the environment and local communities near and around Flagstaff. This is a small and local organization started in 2008 in Flagstaff, Arizona and founded by one woman, named Stephanie Flood, an NAU undergraduate with a Bachelor's degree in journalism.

Flood has been involved with Flagstaff's local community for a while, volunteering and writing for local publications like the "Flagstaff Live" and "the Noise." She has also been an online writer for Demand Studios for some years. Recently she has been developing her skills as a grant writer for a homeless shelter in town, and has been involved with volunteer work for sustainable organizations.

Recently, NMGC has evolved into developing in grant writing and mixed media to earn money for charitable purposes. This actions thrusts NMGC into a new phase of growth and development. Developmental planning and networking will follow in hopes to become a fun and enterprising charity that will financially aid in the progress of fellow  organizations, collectives and anyone with plans to help the earth and struggling humanities.

Finding grants to fund specific efforts will be the budding steps in the months to come. Fund raising projects will be sprouting in November and beyond.
Despite NMGC's expansive visions, this organization strives to remain small. The base of this organization is only working with local coalitions and organizations in the beginning, and as funds improve, it meant to grow from there.
